Chlorophyll – The Blood of the Plant

Chlorophyll is the basis of all plant life. It is the green pigment found in plants. I grab a healthy 1-ounce dose each morning! It’s like giving myself a blood transfusion. It is very easy to absorb and assimilate. I juice a plant called wheatgrass to increase my body’s production of red blood cells.

The molecular structure of chlorophyll is almost identical to our own blood’s makeup. The only actual difference is that the central element in chlorophyll is magnesium and in hemoglobin it is iron. The darker the green color, the more chlorophyll, so dark leafy greens are a great source.

Chlorophyll has the ability to break down poisonous carbon dioxide and release free oxygen. It floods oxygen into our system. We cannot live without good ole oxygen. It is important for brain function, cell repair, and for all bodily tissues to operate at their highest level. It is an excellent detoxifier, body builder and neutralizer of toxins. Not to mention it is a great digestive aid.

Cancer cannot live in the presence of oxygen. Oxygen in the cells means less chance for cancer to survive. Chlorophyll forms a complex with the carcinogens that your body has a difficult time absorbing. Your body eliminates these complexes through feces, helping to prevent cancer. It does this by blocking the metabolism of chemicals known as procarcinogens that damage DNA. By preventing DNA from being damaged, cancer growth is inhibited and prevented.

All of the greens and grasses we eat have chlorophyll, which is why it is the basis of our diets. We as humans need to consume as much as we can get! Chlorophyll is the life-blood of plants so get your shot today!
