Dehydrated Onion Rings
1 Large Sweet Onion cut into rings
First Coat
4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons of filtered water
Sea salt to taste
Second Coat
1 cup ground golden flax seeds
1/2 cup ground dehydrated raw almonds (dehydrate after soaking overnight)
1-2 teaspoons of paprika
Sea salt to taste
Pinch of cayenne (optional)
Take each onion ring, dip it into the 2nd coat, then into the 1st coat and then back into the 2nd coat. Put on as much of the 2nd coat as possible.
Gently put the coated onion rings on the dehydrator trays (without teflex sheets) and dehydrate for about 10-14 hours at 105 degrees F or until crispy.
