Live Egg Nog
A holiday favorite. Who says you need to buy that carton advertised in the store this time of year when it is filled with preservatives. Just make your own. The spices in this recipe really pop! Serves 2-3
Ingredients:
2 cups of raw almonds
4 cups of filtered water
½ cup of raw honey
Pinch of sea salt
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
¼ teaspoon of turmeric
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 banana
Place nuts and water in blender and blend well. Strain mylk out in a nut bag. Rinse out blender and return the mylk to blender.
Add the rest of the ingredients to the almond mylk and blend well. Refrigerate. Sprinkle nutmeg on before serving. Enjoy!
