Aloe Vera – There are so many reported benefits but I’m just going to list a few. Aloe Vera contains so many vitamins including A, C, E, folic acid, choline, B1, B2, B3 (niacin), B6, and one of the few to contain vitamin B12. It helps with digestion, detoxification, skin problems, bruises, sunburns, cuts, inflammation and to top it off, it is anti-biotic, anti-microbial, and anti-fungal.

Coriander – Contains Vitamin C, fiber, several minerals, and Iron, aids in digestions, anti-diabetic properties, can aid women with heavy menstrual flow, and it’s anti-bacterial properties can help with acne.

Dandelion – Surprise! A much hated weed on homeowner’s lawns actually has some nutritional content. Would you believe that the dandelion greens contain 4x as much calcuim, 1.5x as much Vitamin A, and 7.5x as much vitamin K as broccoli. It has a diuretic properties to reduce symptoms of some liver and kidney conditions.

Basil – Basil leaves have an array of antioxidants and phytonutrients including vicenin and orientin. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Basil is loaded with Vitamin A, Magnesium and other free radical fighters.

Shitake Mushrooms – Loaded with nutrients like zinc, copper, selenium, manganese, niacin, and vitamin D. It also lentinan which has helped people with stomach cancer survive for longer when getting chemotherapy.

Reishi Mushrooms – Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center says that components in reishi mushrooms could be effective immunostimulants in patients with cancer. They boost the activity of immune cells called macrophages, while also affecting levels of immune chemicals called interleukins. In a small clinical study published in “Immunological Investigation” in 2003, 12 weeks of treatment with an extract of reishi mushrooms enhanced immune responses in human subjects with advanced cancer.

Maitake Mushrooms – A specific portion of the maitake mushroom has shown to inhibit tumor growth, and it also improve the effects of chemotherapy. There are many other reported benefits from blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, and weight loss.
